Competition 'Le Festival des Cabanes'
A festival of architecture that raises the question about the relationship we have with the natural environment. "How do we settle there? What relationship do we have with our landscapes, with our environment? How do we find our rightful place? It seems that these questions are deeply topical. The hut festival as a new beginning, a way of looking to the future” (1).
It invites to design a hut as a 'declaration of love' to the landscape around Lake Annecy and as a 'magical place of childhood - as a place of beginnings and new beginnings' (2).
Our competition entry proposes a new start for 32 used wood panels and a transformation into a new life. It offers an open canopy embedded in and connected to the beautiful landscape of Lake Annecy in France.
Thanks to the organization team for providing this festival, which invites to think about the vulnerability of the relationship between nature and culture and to see same time the magic in both.
